A very large invasive willow tree is being taken down from Jen Rae’s back yard in Melbourne, Australia on Feb 11th, leaving the yard denuded. As a child in Alberta Jen would swing from a similar large willow as her 4-year-old daughter Vivi does on her rope swing now.
The process is being documented by drone and the tree parts and stump kept for The Patch and to possibly teach Viv some ‘survival skills ‘such as whittling and weaving.
