– What February looks like in Malaga, Spain.

Juliana España Keller shares the early stages of creating a communal garden resource and artist residency in Spain.

Her artistic proposition as a participant in THE PATCH will be constructed as part of a mediated trans-cultural (360) immersive video installation that will be created with the collaboration of artists, Bonnie Baxter, Val David, QC, Canada and Dr. Jen Rae, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

I am simply delighted to work alongside Bonnie Baxter in this transversal and nomadic work that is implicitly devoted to the dynamics of food sustainability and production, historical interruption, recovery and revaluation to understanding the earth and the land we live and thrive from.

As disciplinary boundaries dissolve into more transdisciplinary approaches to the arts, I cannot emphasize enough the interplay between public and private intervention and a deep ecology to shed new light on the way human-non-human life and vital matter is represented from many different and fragmented perspectives.
